
Bio
Aline Wachsmuth was born in Starnberg, Germany and moved to West Palm Beach, Florida at a young age with her mother, with the rest of her family remaining in her home country. She began dancing at the age of three, and is now a senior majoring in Dance at Florida State University. Her studies as a B.F.A. include modern and ballet technique, performance, history, labanotation, kinesiology, music, production, and dance technology. She recently received FSU’s Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity Award, which will provide funding for her research on the developments of contemporary choreography after the Fall of the Berlin Wall. Her findings will be presented at the URCAA Symposium in the Fall of 2007. After graduation, she hopes to pursue her performance career, research and development throughout Europe and the United States.
