Bio
Nicole Byrne is from Chicago, IL. Her first dance
experience was a contemporary dance class through her
public high school at the age of 16. She went on to receive
a B.F.A. in Dance from Florida State University in 2006.
She is now a dancer, choreographer, photographer, and
videographer. She has performed with University Dance
Theatre (Western Illinois University), Dancescapes (Daytona
Beach Community College), Dance Repertory Theatre (Florida
State University), and professionally with Surfscape
Contemporary Dance Theatre (Daytona Beach, FL). Nicole is a
professional photographer specializing in Action/Event
camera work, and also enjoys filmmaking. She produced a
documentary of Florida State University’s semester program
in New York, “FSU in NYC.” She single-handedly shot the
footage, edited, and narrated the film. After this summer
of research, Nicole plans to expand her professional and
artistic experiences in performance, choreography, dance
film and photography.
